The house was newly built in 2015 on the site of the old mixed masonry building, which had unfortunately fallen into irreparable ruin. We have tried to preserve the soul of the ancestral house through many small details, as it served as a home for our family for generations on my mother’s side. The color of the exterior walls, the red natural stones and reclaimed bricks used as landscaping materials, the nostalgic photos, and the use of old tools as decorative elements all serve this purpose.
We know and love every corner of the house and the garden. We have roasted crispy pork hocks in the oven, relaxed in the sauna on autumn evenings, clutched wine glasses around the fire, played soccer on the grass on sweltering summer Sundays, and then cooled off in the pool—with children, relatives, and friends.
We only ask one thing from those who find a home in the house at the same time: a small gesture of attentiveness toward one another. That is why we chose the name Csomópont (The Junction). We want to bring good people together, and for that, you always need a house, a common meeting point—a place where it feels good to arrive.
